Rich Hospital, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
Any patient whose vital functions are impaired in a way that carries a vital risk is defined as a critically ill patient. At Rich Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, critical pediatric patients are given vital support for 24 hours with a multidisciplinary approach.
Children are very different from adults with their metabolism, physiology and psychology. Since the diseases and treatments seen in the childhood age group differ, critically ill children in this age group are treated in pediatric intensive care units.
In pediatric intensive care units, critical pediatric patients are treated and monitored with artificial respiration devices, monitors and dialysis devices. All laboratory tests and imaging examinations can be performed on pediatric patients hospitalized in the pediatric intensive care unit.
In our unit, where all critical pediatric patients are admitted, all kinds of follow-up, treatment and care services related to the patient are carried out by the department staff from the admission of the patient.
